                   RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR OF
                   THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES TO ENTER A
                   CONTRACT WITH DERTHICK, HENLEY & WILKERSON
                   ARCHITECTS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO BE
                   PERFORMED IN CONDUCTING A PHASE I
                   ENVIRONMENTAL INSPECTION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED
                   AT 6TH STREET AND CHESTNUT STREET IN AN AMOUNT
                   NOT TO EXCEED $15,393.00.

              BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
         CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Administrator of the 
Department
         of General Services be and is hereby authorized to enter a
         contract with Derthick, Henley & Wilkerson Architects for
         professional services to be performed in conducting a Phase I
         Environmental Inspection for property located at 6th Street and 

         Chestnut Street in an amount not to exceed $15,393.00.
